Residual Traces is a piece inspired by long-exposure photography of the moon. The work merges the glow of moonlit imagery with shifting generative visuals and ambient soundscapes composed from recorded interpretations of Bluetooth signals. Layers of light trails and projected patterns evoke both the serenity of celestial rhythms and the structured complexity of digital systems. By highlighting the tension between natural presence and technological mediation, the piece invites viewers to reflect on the intersection of the organic and digital.
Residual Traces was exhibited during MAPP_MTL and their MINUTE_MAPP Exhibition at Moment Factory in Montreal. The work was projected both with a traditional projector and with a laser projector.
