Same Material / Different Time
"Same Material / Different Time" is a unique blend of history, technology, and interactivity, symbolizing the area’s deep heritage of sailing and logging from the past to the present. Using anamorphosis, the static sculpture transforms from trees into sails and back again. This is made visible by the viewer's movement around the sculpture. Inlaid with addressable LEDs animated to resemble twinkling Christmas lights, the installation blends nautical themes with the festive season. The work is meant to encourage public interaction, redefine the role of technology in art, and enable participants to rediscover their relationship with our physical world.
